Hittills har jag bara haft ett l\u00e4ngre l\u00f6puppeh\u00e5ll, fr\u00e5n b\u00f6rjan av oktober 2009 till slutet av december 2009, pga av en meniskskada (plus n\u00e5gra tillf\u00e4llen som varade n\u00e5gra veckor vardera under 2012-2014 pga spinal stenos och diskproblem i nacken). Under sommaren 2009 uppt\u00e4ckte jag att landsv\u00e4gscykling var ett fungerande komplement till l\u00f6pning och cyklade ganska mycket hela s\u00e4songen f\u00f6r att avlasta mitt kn\u00e4 som kr\u00e5nglade \u00e4nda fr\u00e5n tidigt p\u00e5 v\u00e5ren samma \u00e5r. P\u00e5 h\u00f6sten sprang jag Liding\u00f6loppet med ett redan fr\u00e5n b\u00f6rjan sm\u00e4rtande kn\u00e4, vilket resulterade i att jag inte kunde springa ett enda steg efter loppet och fick boka en titth\u00e5lsoperation. Efter Liding\u00f6loppet blev det bara cykling. Att tvingas cykla mera innebar en utveckling f\u00f6r mig. Jag b\u00f6rjade s\u00e5 sm\u00e5ningom tycka att det var kul med cykling och t\u00e4nkte f\u00f6r f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen att en V\u00e4tternrunda vore fullt m\u00f6jligt att genomf\u00f6ra. Dessutom gjorde jag, efter operation och ofrivillig vila, bland mina b\u00e4sta l\u00f6presultat b\u00e5de p\u00e5 Stockholm marathon och p\u00e5 Liding\u00f6loppet under 2010, trots mer cykling \u00e4ven under det \u00e5ret. Plus att jag \u00e5ret efter cyklade V\u00e4tternrundan. I backspegeln blev min skada, som jag tyckte var v\u00e4ldigt negativ, \u00e4nd\u00e5 n\u00e5got positivt och en v\u00e4rdefull erfarenhet.<\/p>\n<p>Sedan Stockholm marathon i sommar har jag haft tilltagande problem med en h\u00e4lsena. Jag har fortsatt att springa trots ih\u00e5llande sm\u00e4rta, men sprungit mindre \u00e4n vad jag egentligen skulle velat. Jag har \u00e4nd\u00e5 tagit mig igenom de lopp jag haft inplanerade. Swimrunloppen i b\u00f6rjan av augusti gick bra, medan Ultravasan senare i augusti var betydligt besv\u00e4rligare. Efter Sten\u00f6 Ultra Trail i slutet oktober ins\u00e5g jag, efter en par veckor till av korta sm\u00e4rtsamma l\u00f6prundor, att jag beh\u00f6ver ta sm\u00e4rtan p\u00e5 allvar.<\/p>\n<p>Den viktigaste motivationsfaktorn f\u00f6r mig just nu \u00e4r att jag vill kunna springa nya ultralopp n\u00e4sta s\u00e4song. Mitt m\u00e5l \u00e4r att springa minst ett lopp som kvalificerar mig till Western States lotteriet varje \u00e5r f\u00f6r att s\u00e5 sm\u00e5ningom vinna en plats och f\u00e5 chansen att springa mitt dr\u00f6mlopp. V\u00e4gen dit \u00e4r minst lika viktig, att genomf\u00f6ra TEC 100 i v\u00e5ras \u00e4r en av de st\u00f6rsta l\u00f6parupplevelserna jag haft och att f\u00e5 uppleva nya liknande utmaningar k\u00e4nns fantastiskt sp\u00e4nnande. Problemet \u00e4r att jag ska vara motiverad att inte g\u00f6ra det jag vill mest av allt och som l\u00e5ngsiktigt \u00e4r det jag kommer att beh\u00f6va g\u00f6ra massor av l\u00e4ngre fram, dvs att springa. Som vanligt borde det ju vara l\u00e4ttare att b\u00f6rja med n\u00e5got annat och fokusera p\u00e5 det jag ska g\u00f6ra, ist\u00e4llet f\u00f6r att t\u00e4nka p\u00e5 vad jag inte ska g\u00f6ra. Fast ibland \u00e4r det sv\u00e5rt att vara psykolog till sig sj\u00e4lv.<\/p>\n<p>Nu ska jag allts\u00e5 f\u00f6rs\u00f6ka g\u00f6ra n\u00e5got \u00e5t min skada och d\u00e4r ing\u00e5r att vila fr\u00e5n l\u00f6pning under n\u00e5gra veckor. Jag m\u00e4rker att jag efter att ha sprungit i stort sett varje dag i ett \u00e5r har sv\u00e5rt att motivera mig till annan tr\u00e4ning \u00e4n l\u00f6pning, l\u00f6pningen har snarare givit mig energi till annat. Den h\u00e4r veckan b\u00f6rjade jag m\u00e4rka att min sinnesst\u00e4mning har p\u00e5verkats, att jag b\u00f6rjar t\u00e4nka tankar om att livet k\u00e4nns gr\u00e5tt och trist, precis som v\u00e4dret. Jag brukar inte l\u00e5ta v\u00e4dret p\u00e5verka mig speciellt mycket och har under m\u00e5nga \u00e5r k\u00e4nt gl\u00e4dje av l\u00f6pningen oavsett s\u00e4song. N\u00e4r jag t\u00e4nker efter lite inser jag f\u00f6rst\u00e5s att jag saknar mina endorfiner fr\u00e5n l\u00f6pningen och att det nog inte r\u00e4cker med diverse rehab\u00f6vningar f\u00f6r att f\u00e5 det jag beh\u00f6ver. Suget efter l\u00f6pning k\u00e4nns starkt och jag k\u00e4nner mig som en missbrukare som t\u00e4nker att \u201dbara lite just nu g\u00f6r inte s\u00e5 stor skada\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Jag har varit och simmat n\u00e5gra g\u00e5nger inomhus och har sv\u00e5rt att k\u00e4nna att det r\u00e4cker till, eller ens att l\u00e4ngta till simpasset, det har mest k\u00e4nts motigt. Det skulle nog ha g\u00e5tt utm\u00e4rkt om det var s\u00e4song f\u00f6r att simma utomhus &#8211; det \u00e4r n\u00e5got jag l\u00e4rt mig \u00e4lska. Att simma inomhus k\u00e4nner jag oftast ett stort motst\u00e5nd inf\u00f6r. F\u00f6r att inte ta ett \u00e5terfall, och b\u00f6rja springa igen innan min h\u00e4lsena k\u00e4nns b\u00e4ttre, beh\u00f6ver jag nog hitta en utmaning eller ett m\u00e5l som ger mig motivation och energi att fokusera p\u00e5 annat. Kanske simma oftare och verkligen satsa p\u00e5 att bli snabbare p\u00e5 Vansbrosimningen i sommar, kanske anm\u00e4la mig till ett MTB lopp f\u00f6r att motivera mig att cykla mera. Eller s\u00e5 skiter jag i allt det d\u00e4r och t\u00e4nker att om jag springer tillr\u00e4ckligt ofta och l\u00e5ngt s\u00e5 m\u00e5ste kroppen till slut anpassa sig.
