Det \u00e4r den 26 juni och redan ljust ute i sommarnatten. K\u00e4nner mig vaken och redo, kliver ur s\u00e4ngen direkt. Fixar toabestyren. Kollar utetemperaturen, ca 7 grader. Kl\u00e4r mig varmt i framlagda cykelkl\u00e4der: bibs, l\u00e5nga tights, mtb-shorts, ullundertr\u00f6ja, cykeltr\u00f6ja, vindjacka, v\u00e4st. Nere i hallen st\u00e5r cykeln redo med nypumpade d\u00e4ck och med cykeldatorn fulladdad, \u00a0f\u00e4rdigpackad med flaskor med energidryck. I ramv\u00e4skor finns energigels, energipulver, v\u00e4tskeers\u00e4ttning, chokladbitar, powerbars, regnkl\u00e4der mm. Tredje g\u00e5ngen jag ska cykla till v\u00e5r fj\u00e4llstuga i Slagavallen utanf\u00f6r Lofsdalen, ca 30 mil plus\/minus n\u00e5gra km beroende p\u00e5 v\u00e4gval.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sl\u00e5r p\u00e5 kaffebryggaren som redan \u00e4r laddad, vill komma iv\u00e4g s\u00e5 snabbt som m\u00f6jligt, inte kasta bort n\u00e5gon tid. Packar ryggs\u00e4cken med tv\u00e5 muggar med turkisk yoghurt, b\u00e4r och n\u00f6tter. I ryggs\u00e4cken finns redan en v\u00e4tskebl\u00e5sa med energidryck och en slang fr\u00e5n bl\u00e5san som h\u00e4nger fram p\u00e5 axelremmen. Har uppt\u00e4ckt att jag f\u00f6redrar att kunna sippa v\u00e4tska ur en bl\u00e5sa som jag g\u00f6r n\u00e4r jag springer, snarare \u00e4n dricka ur cykelflaskor fr\u00e5n ramen som \u00e4r det s\u00e4ttet man \u201dska g\u00f6ra det\u201d p\u00e5 en landsv\u00e4gscykel.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Har en endurance bike, en landsv\u00e4gscykel med breda 32 mm d\u00e4ck. Ganska lik en gravelbike, men med sl\u00e4tare asfaltsd\u00e4ck. Inte s\u00e5 snabb men bekv\u00e4m.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Har valt en annan v\u00e4g \u00e4n tidigare \u00e5r, via Los ist\u00e4llet f\u00f6r via J\u00e4rvs\u00f6, med \u00e4nnu mer backar, f\u00f6r att f\u00e5 en ny upplevelse. K\u00e4nner mig definitivt inte som en cyklist, trots att jag oftast cyklar flera g\u00e5nger i veckan. L\u00f6pning \u00e4r min grej, men sen jag fick problem med b\u00e5de ryggen och ett kn\u00e4 har jag inte kunnat springa s\u00e5 mycket. Blir oftast turer p\u00e5 runt timmen p\u00e5 mountainbiken. Beh\u00f6ver egentligen cykla landsv\u00e4gscykel 10-12 mil f\u00f6r vara ordentligt f\u00f6rberedd, men har tydligen inte haft motivationen att tr\u00e4na p\u00e5 det s\u00e4ttet inf\u00f6r ett eget cykel\u00e4ventyr. L\u00e4ngsta tr\u00e4ningsturen inf\u00f6r l\u00e5ngcyklingen blev i \u00e5r 6 mil. Tidigare, inf\u00f6r lopp som V\u00e4tternrundan och l\u00e5ngdistanstriathlon har jag varit betydligt mer motiverad cykla l\u00e5nga pass.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">N\u00e4r jag deltagit i lopp har prestationen och att f\u00e5 ett s\u00e5 bra resultat som m\u00f6jligt varit en del av min motivation att tr\u00e4na. Nu motiveras jag mer av upplevelsen och utmaningen att ta mig till min destination. Att f\u00e5 en hel dag p\u00e5 cykeln, en hel dag utomhus med mitt hj\u00e4rta, mina lungor, mina muskler och min vilja som tar mig fram\u00e5t. Att uppleva olika delar av dygnet, v\u00e4drets och naturens skiftningar. Hur kroppens m\u00e5ende och energi f\u00f6r\u00e4ndras, hur mitt mentala tillst\u00e5nd varierar och att f\u00e5 k\u00e4mpa emot motst\u00e5ndet. F\u00e5 uppleva en hel dag med mina egna tankar. Egentligen vill jag nog f\u00e5 erfara n\u00e5got som liknar det jag upplevt d\u00e5 jag sprungit ultralopp i naturen. Att k\u00e4nna att tiden finns f\u00f6r att bara fokusera p\u00e5 en uppgift, bara ta mig fram\u00e5t, l\u00f6sa problem p\u00e5 v\u00e4gen och f\u00e5 vara fullt n\u00e4rvarande i upplevelsen. Men utmaningen i sig, ett beh\u00f6va k\u00e4mpa, \u00e4r ocks\u00e5 n\u00e5got som stimulerar, ger mig ett merv\u00e4rde.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">N\u00e4r vi utmanar oss sj\u00e4lva och genomf\u00f6r saker som vi f\u00e5tt anstr\u00e4nga oss f\u00f6r att g\u00f6ra f\u00e5r vi en k\u00e4nsla av f\u00f6rverkligande (accomplishment).<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inom positiv psykologi finns ett ramverk framtaget av Martin Seligman. Han grundade den positiva psykologin som en motkraft mot, det han tyckte, att psykologin blivit f\u00f6r fokuserad p\u00e5 att bara leta fel som sedan skulle r\u00e4ttas till. Han ville ist\u00e4llet bygga p\u00e5 v\u00e5ra styrkor och genom dem st\u00e4rka v\u00e5rt v\u00e4lbefinnande, \u00f6ka v\u00e5r motst\u00e5ndskraft (resiliens) och skapa f\u00f6ruts\u00e4ttningar f\u00f6r flourishing (m\u00e4nsklig blomstring, att f\u00e5 v\u00e5ra liv att blomstra, bli v\u00e5ra b\u00e4sta jag). \u00a0Ramverket kallas <strong>PERMA<\/strong> och det st\u00e5r f\u00f6r <strong>Positiva k\u00e4nslor, Engagemang, Relationer, Meningsfullhet och Accomplishment<\/strong> (f\u00f6rverkligande). Genom att st\u00e4rka de h\u00e4r delarna i v\u00e5ra liv, kan vi \u00f6ka v\u00e5rt v\u00e4lbefinnande, v\u00e5r lycka och k\u00e4nsla av meningsfullhet.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En l\u00e5ngtur p\u00e5 cykel eller till fots \u00e4r en typ av utmaning och upplevelse som ger mig tillg\u00e5ng till en stor del av PERMA ramverket. Att f\u00e5 vara i r\u00f6relse och anv\u00e4nda kroppen p\u00e5 ett s\u00e4tt som verkligen k\u00e4nns, och \u00e4r kr\u00e4vande, ger mig n\u00e4stan alltid <strong>positiva k\u00e4nslor<\/strong>. Vill vi \u00e4ndra v\u00e5rt sinnestillst\u00e5nd, kan vi i stort sett alltid g\u00f6ra k\u00e4nsloupplevelsen \u00e5tminstone n\u00e5gra procent positivare genom att s\u00e4tta oss i r\u00f6relse. F\u00f6r mig \u00e4r att f\u00e5 vara mycket och ofta i r\u00f6relse en omistlig del av livet och har varit s\u00e5 i stort sett hela mitt liv.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Engagemang<\/strong>\/engagement handlar h\u00e4r om att ha en psykologiskt stark koppling till det du g\u00f6r, att det k\u00e4nns n\u00e4ra, betydelsefullt, \u00e4ven att k\u00e4nna dig absorberad, totalt n\u00e4rvarande och vara i k\u00e4nsla av flow ing\u00e5r i Engagement. Att f\u00e5 sl\u00e4ppa taget om allt annat och bara engagera mig i r\u00f6relsen, att f\u00f6r stunden helt prioritera att ta mig fram\u00e5t och vidare, ger mig n\u00e5got som jag har sv\u00e5rt att finna i n\u00e5got annat i livet.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Positiva relationer<\/strong> handlar i PERMA-ramverket om att k\u00e4nna tillh\u00f6righet, att k\u00e4nna att n\u00e5gon bryr sig och att vara tillfreds med sina relationer. \u00a0Jag har m\u00e5nga g\u00e5nger upplevt styrkan i relationer i m\u00f6tet med andra under lopp och tr\u00e4ningar, hur otroligt fint det k\u00e4nts att f\u00e5 support av familj och v\u00e4nner. \u00a0K\u00e4nslan av att h\u00f6ra till ett ultracommunity med andra som \u00e4lskar att f\u00e5 vara r\u00f6relse p\u00e5 liknande s\u00e4tt som jag, har varit omv\u00e4lvande, att f\u00e5 h\u00f6ra till och dela upplevelser med andra p\u00e5 ett sj\u00e4lvklart s\u00e4tt som inte beh\u00f6ver f\u00f6rklaras. N\u00e4r min fru, p\u00e5 v\u00e4g med bil till Lofsdalen, k\u00f6pte med sig en halloumiburgare och kom ikapp mig efter ca 8 timmars cykling, k\u00e4nde jag betydelsen av st\u00f6det.\u00a0 Att m\u00f6ta henne en stund, veta att hon bryr sig, f\u00e5 en kram och uppmuntran, precis som jag f\u00e5tt p\u00e5 m\u00e5nga lopp, var v\u00e4rt s\u00e5 mycket mer \u00e4n maten jag fick, \u00e4ven om den ocks\u00e5 var viktig.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meningsfullhet \u00e4r viktigt i det stora, att k\u00e4nna att ens liv har v\u00e4rde och \u00e4r kopplat till n\u00e5got st\u00f6rre, men ocks\u00e5 i det lilla, att ha en str\u00e4van och m\u00e5l f\u00f6r dagen, veta vad man ska l\u00e4gga fokus p\u00e5 h\u00e4r och nu. Inom ultra talar vi ofta om att ha ett eller flera tydliga varf\u00f6r. Att veta varf\u00f6r, vi springer, varf\u00f6r vi str\u00e4var, varf\u00f6r vi ska k\u00e4mpa vidare. F\u00f6r mig ger kampen mening och riktning, jag tror p\u00e5 att jag \u00e4r en person som beh\u00f6ver f\u00e5 k\u00e4mpa f\u00f6r att m\u00e5 bra och forts\u00e4tta utvecklas. Kampen i sig skapar en k\u00e4nsla av betydelse. Kanske kan min kamp ge andra lust att utmana sig sj\u00e4lva utanf\u00f6r sin egen komfortzon, d\u00e4r vi kan v\u00e4xa som m\u00e4nniskor, f\u00e5 kraft och tilltro till v\u00e5r f\u00f6rm\u00e5ga att m\u00f6ta \u00e4ven andra utmaningar som vi inte valt sj\u00e4lva, och st\u00e4rka v\u00e5r resiliens, bli motst\u00e5ndskraftigare.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I accomplishment\/f\u00f6rverkligande ing\u00e5r att anta s\u00e4tta m\u00e5l, att str\u00e4va mot dem och f\u00e5 uppleva att utvecklas och lyckas, eller l\u00e4ra av sin str\u00e4van. Fantastiskt fin morgon innan trafiken kom ig\u00e5ng. Intensivt f\u00e5gelkvitter och ljuset, morgonen som vaknar, tranor, h\u00e4star och kor r\u00f6r sig i gryningen. Stunder av flow och total n\u00e4rvaro. Kunde t.o.m. njuta av motvinden.\u00a0<\/em><\/p><p style=\"font-size: 15px; font-style: normal;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>Morgontrafiken tillsammans med motvind mellan Bolln\u00e4s och Edsbyn var jobbig. Efter sv\u00e4ngt av mot Voxna kom lugnet och n\u00e4rvaron tillbaka. Efter 7 timmar f\u00f6rsvann motvinden, k\u00e4ndes som en g\u00e5va, fick lite mer energi.\u00a0<\/em><\/p><p style=\"font-size: 15px; font-style: normal;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>Lotta kom f\u00f6rbi med positiva k\u00e4nslor och en halloumiburgare, p\u00e5 v\u00e4g mot Lofsdalen. M\u00e5dde bra en bra en stund av det.\u00a0<\/em><\/p><p style=\"font-size: 15px; font-style: normal;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>Backarna runt Los var tuffa. Fokuserade p\u00e5 naturen och sommarblommorna i dikesrenen. N\u00e4r lupinerna tog \u00f6ver dikena k\u00e4ndes de ett tag som fientliga trupper fr\u00e5n en fr\u00e4mmande planet, som t\u00e5lmodiga, tysta och hotfulla stod p\u00e5 led efter led och v\u00e4ntade p\u00e5 sina order.\u00a0<\/em><\/p><p style=\"font-size: 15px; font-style: normal;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>Efter F\u00e5gelsj\u00f6 tog energin slut igen. Fokuserade p\u00e5 5 km i taget, 1 min stopp och nytt energiintag, upprepa. Svepte svettig och andf\u00e5dd in p\u00e5 rastplatsen vid infarten till Sveg, borden var upptagna. Satte mig p\u00e5 en sten, sl\u00e4ngde i mig en burk keso med musli. Blev studerad av turister som satt i lugn och ro och fikade i solen och nj\u00f6t av sommaren. Lite l\u00e4ngre stopp p\u00e5 macken i Sveg pga k\u00f6, k\u00f6pte tv\u00e5 energidryck, fyllde vattenflaskorna.<\/em><\/p><p style=\"font-size: 15px; font-style: normal;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>Fl\u00f6t p\u00e5 till Linsell. Fokus 5 km i st\u00f6ten igen, l\u00e4t backarna ta den tid de tog.<\/em><\/p><p style=\"font-size: 15px; font-style: normal;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>N\u00e5n timme senare s\u00e5g jag Hov\u00e4rken. Allt som gjort ont gjorde pl\u00f6tsligt mindre ont, benen blev l\u00e4ttare. K\u00e4ndes som jag fl\u00f6g fram till Lofsdalen.<\/em><\/p><p style=\"font-size: 15px; font-style: normal;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>Bara 11 km uppf\u00f6r kvar till Slagavallen. En backe i taget, sista kampen f\u00f6r dagen. Kommer fram lycklig, tillfreds, utmattad, ont \u00f6verallt, som det ska vara. F\u00e5tt fokusera p\u00e5 att ta mig fram f\u00f6r egen maskin, upplevt ett litet \u00e4ventyr, f\u00e5tt k\u00e4mpa fysiskt och mentalt. 17 timmar. 29,5 mil, 2217 h\u00f6jdmeter.<\/em><\/p><p style=\"font-size: 15px; font-style: normal;\">Jag t\u00e4nker att den h\u00e4r dagen inneh\u00f6ll m\u00e5nga inslag av det PERMA-ramverket bygger p\u00e5, och att upplevelsen \u00f6kat och vidmakth\u00e5llit mitt v\u00e4lbefinnande, min tilltro till mig sj\u00e4lv och min motst\u00e5ndskraft \u00e5tminstone en aning.
