Flow och mening i sadeln

Sandarne 7 juli 2025

Read more

The Long Game

Regardless of whether we live for 70, 77, or 82 years, we have a limited time to live. In a just a slightly larger perspective, we will all soon be dead and forgotten. I think nothing really matters except that the life we live is meaningful when we live it.  Read more

Swimstreak, values and goals

Sandarne, Sweden, July 17th, 2022

A week ago, my wife Lotta and I swam 1000 meters in open water for the 30th consecutive day. From time to time, we set a goal around an activity that we can focus on for a period, as a joint project. The first time was in 2016 when we did 50 simple everyday adventures for a year.  Read more

Needs, drives, and longing for nature

Sandarne, Sweden, April 10th, 2022

My first real contact with a slightly higher mountain was when I was 9 years old and our family vacationed for a week in the mountains. We arrived at the foot of Östfjället in Gräftåvallen on a scorching summer day. I immediately took a trip up the mountain and something struck me strongly. The experience of the mountain just continuing up higher and higher felt unreal and powerful. It gave me a feeling of rapture that I have continued to carry with me.  Read more
